Great post! I tried the Insanity workout and had some challenges with not enough space in my apartment. The audio was hard to hear, which made it difficult to follow along with Shaun T. I’ve also had gym memberships, which I always cancel because I don’t go enough to justify the cost. I do agree both are good options based on your motivations and needs. I still workout at home and did standard squats yesterday and I still feel the pain. Great workouts are all about body movement and motivation!

I’ve never done Shaun T’s Insanity but I am a fan of his workouts. Having workouts that travel with you is a real blessing. You can also take your tablet or laptop and do this program at the gym. I know some of my friends do that. My favorite BB program was 21 DF, which one is your favorite?

    Hey Marlinda! I would have to go with P90X since my goal at the time I tried the workout was to build muscle. I was able to both build lean muscle and burn fat. But I must admit, beachbody definitely has some good programs for all types of fitness goals.

I have tried a similar program to the one your talking about (shaun t insantity ) but I really didn’t see a change in my body.

I am a skinny person and have been my whole life. Programs like these seem to make you use alot of energy to get fit.. which doesn’t seem ideal for someone like me as I need to gain weight and muscle not lose it.

Would you suggest going to the gym in my case is a better call since ill be lifting heavy weights and not doing as much cardio high tense exercises like this one?

Workout programs like insanity usually work best for those that are looking to lose weight. so for someone like you, you wouldn’t get the results you’re looking for, which is to gain weight and muscle mass. So yes, I would definitely suggest going to the gym and lifting weights to put on the mass you’re looking for.
