Does Maxi Climber Really Work? – Help You Get Results

No doubt the maxi climber is a very unique exercise machine, but does the maxi climber really work?  Before we can answer that question, it helps to first know what your goals are.

So one needs be a little bit more specific when asking that question. If you are someone that is looking to lose weight, than understanding that putting your body in a calorie deficit is important.

There are many ways to do that whether it is through proper diet or exercise. Maybe you are looking to build muscle and burn fat.

That would require adding resistance training in your workout routine since muscle building is the process of breaking down muscle and building it back up.

Regardless of what your goals are, making sure you have the right tools that will help get the job done is important.

Just understand that too much cardio and break down muscle, so if you are looking to build muscle, then it will be difficult to do that with just cardio alone.Now there are machines like the bowflex whose focus is resistance training.

This is a great way to build muscle and help get you that definition you are looking for.  Although resistance training can give you a good cardio workout, no cardio workout is more effective than a machine that focuses primarily on cardio.

The goal is to get the best of both worlds.  By combining both cardio and resistance training in your workout, you will get a more efficient workout.  Allowing the body to burn the most amount of calories which will help you lose weight much quicker.

The saying goes….no pain, no gain. If your workout doesn’t challenge you, then how effective is it really?

There is nothing more satisfying than putting yourself through a tough workout and feeling the accomplishment of knowing you were able to complete it.

We can all agree that we tend to value things more if we had to work hard to get it.

So it makes sense that if you are working hard during an exercise, that you will feel a lot better about yourself and have more confidence throughout the day.

How’s Your Diet?

We all know how important it is to have a healthy diet.  So regardless of how active you are, if your diet is crap, then more than likely you will look like crap.

So it is super important that you watch what you eat and not let exercise be an excuse to eat the wrong type of food.  Some may not believe this, but it is possible to eat more food and still lose weight in the process.

As long as you are active and put your body in a calorie deficit as mentioned earlier in this article, you can still eat the foods you enjoy and still be healthy.

The maxi-climber is a very impressive exercise machine, I have had my eye on either the maxi-climber or the tread walker made by the same manufacturing Bowflex.

I experience joint pain and I am required to do low-impact exercise, I know the treat walker is low-impact but how about the maxi-climber?

    Hi Jeffrey! There’s is no impact on the joints which makes the maxi climber a good machine to own. I have yet to do a review on the tread walker, but I would figure the same thing goes for it as well. Thanks for the comment!

Great review.

I have been looking for something that could provide a great workout without taking up all kinds of space. Certainly like that it is easy to put together.

As you stated it is sturdy. How does the sturdiness compare to Bow-Flex?

The low impact is now important as the years have crept up on me.

As for how it compares to the Bow-Flex, I haven’t done much research into that machine, but that is definitely something I could look to do in the near future. I pretty much only ever lift weights for my workouts. Since that is my primary goal – to get bigger and stronger – then I guess that is the right thing to do. I mainly only do weights because it’s challenging and scalable and i love it. But this maxi climber thing looks quite cool. I’ll head over to your review to check it out in detail.

Very good advices you have there. My main exercise block is motivation. I think it’s my human nature to laze and on certain days I tend to find excuses for myself not to keep to my workout schedule. There are so many devil’s lure in the journey of working out and keeping yourself fit! Hahaha. Definitely will check out the maxi climber too! Sounds like is a great gym equipment to have!

    Hey Leo! Yea I think for a lot of people, finding motivation can be a big reason not to exercise. Sometimes it can be do to not finding an activity to enjoy. But if you are someone that likes to exercise at home, the maxi climber is a pretty popular exercise machine to have.

The Maxi Climber sounds great. I have seen these at the gym, but have never actually tried it. I absolutely love workouts that target multiple muscle groups at the same time. This seems like a great way to combine cardio with strength conditioning.

As your article mentions though, so much of getting fit and in shape is dependent on diet. You can work out for hours, but if you don’t eat right, you will never see any results. I don’t know the exact figures, but isn’t it something like 80-90% of weight loss is due to diet alone?

    The maxi climber is definitely a different workout than your typical treadmill workout. As for your diet question, weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise, so making sure you eat healthy foods is key. Thanks for your comment Kris!
