BeachBody On Demand – As a member, not only are you getting workout videos to sculpt your body. But you also get a meal plan to go along with your workouts to make sure you are fueling your body the right way to get  you amazing results.

DailyBurn – You should have no problem getting motivated when working out. The trainers are high energy and very knowledgeable when it comes to giving you advice during your workouts.

Although name recognition may be an issue, you can feel confident knowing that you are getting a great workout from some of the best Instructors in the world.

BeachBody On Demand – When you talk about the beachbody brand, you know name recognition will never be a problem. Names like Tony Horton and Shaun T just scream results when talking about workout programs.

You know when you workout with beachbody trainers, you are getting some of the most elite trainers in the world. High energy workouts to help get you motivated during any workout.

DailyBurn – The have forums where you can interact with people just like you that are looking to get results. Although it does seem that members are not very active in there. So if you do find yourself asking questions, be prepared to wait awhile for a response.

BeachBody On Demand – Members are very active in the forum area and you can expect to get a lot of help. So much so, that you may have coaches offering up their services. This can be a little annoying if you are just looking for an answer to your questions.

BeachBody – Just like DailyBurn, you can pretty much stream your workouts anywhere you go. As more devices are created, beachbody continues to update is programs to make sure it is compatible with it.

Although both have a lot to offer, I would have to go with beachbody on demand. When it comes to workout videos, they offer way more in terms of variety. Also, they have more videos that last anywhere from 30-60 minutes compared to dailyburn.

We all know how important diet is when it comes to effectively getting results. And although dailyburn has a site dedicated to diets and recipes, getting a meal plan that is designed specifically for a workout is crucial.

Beachbody gives you a meal plan to go along with each workout program you do. Me being a huge believer in habits, a system like beachbody on demand helps you create good habits, which will get you better results.

As far as trainers go, even though beachbody has the best well known names, I believe that dailyburn matches up well in terms of having very knowledge motivating Instructors. Which is important to make sure you stay consistent with your workouts.

When it comes to finding long term success, having the support of your friends and family is crucial. So even though it can feel salesy within the forums of beachbody on demand, it is active which is helpful when looking for answers.

Both sites are good when it comes to available streaming devices. So it was difficult trying to decide which one had the edge. Regardless of which you choose, as long as you have good internet connection, you should have very little issue streaming your workouts.

If you’re familiar with beachbody, then you know how popular this program is. I can remember it feeling like Christmas waiting for my DVD workouts to come in through the mail.

But with beachbody on demand, the need for DVDs are long gone. With beachbody on demand, you are pretty much getting a library of workout videos to choose from.

Whether you’re looking for a good cardio workout, weight loss program, or just some yoga, beachbody has it.

You are getting access to your favorite trainers 24/7. I think what makes this so much better than dvd’s is, you don’t have to worry about getting bored so much.

With your DVDs, you are pretty much stuck with that workout program, and have to purchase another program if necessary. Now that you can stream your workouts, you can choose whichever program you like.

What Makes Online Workout Programs Effective

If i were to ask you what your options were when it comes to getting in shape, what would they be? You could either hire a personal trainer, buy and exercise machine and workout at home, or you could do what everyone else does, and go to your local gym.

Now i’m sure there are many other ways, but these tend to be the most popular answers. Whatever method you choose, the goals are the same. All you care about is getting the results you are looking for.

The thing is, there are many issues when it comes to any of these methods. Like with a personal trainer, although effective, can be very expensive for anyone looking to get serious results.

As for the exercise machines, you could buy one for the home, but we know how easy it is to get bored of it, only to see it collect dust. Lastly, you could go with the less expensive option and join the gym.

But there are many people that have a gym membership and if you ask them when was the last time they’ve been there, i’m pretty sure they don’t remember.

This is normal because getting a gym membership is easy, but knowing what to do once you get there is a whole different animal.

And this is what makes online workout programs so effective. You get workouts that are designed for a specific fitness goal in mind. You are told what to do, and how to do it. Eliminating any uncertainty about if what you’re doing is correct.

If you’re looking for the best online workout program, you want to make sure it gives you the best chance to succeed. For many, being bored is a big reason for not having motivation to get in shape.

That’s why it’s important to make sure you’re workout programs have variety to help prevent you from losing interest. Also, having the best trainers that will motivate you to keep coming back and trying harder than you did the day before.

For these reasons I would recommend Beachbody on demand. Not only do they have the name to help back up their workouts, but also the system. They offer a much wider variety of programs for any fitness goal you set for yourself.

Even though dailyburn is just as qualified to get you results, you can tell from what’s trending that beachbody is far superior. But i’m sure you will be in great hands with whatever program you choose.

  1. This was great to read, Ralph! There are so many workout programs out there to choose from – it’s good to know the pros and cons of Daily Burn vs. Beach Body. I agree that challenging your muscles by changing up to new workouts every so often is a way to build your body. It seems like Beach Body has a lot of variation within the program, too…and like you mentioned, you want to avoid boredom.

  3. This is a great review. I have heard of both programs but have never done any research on my own. I like a lot of us, need to loose some weight. Your review has motivated me to get started and I will probably go with Beach Body.

  5. You are absolutely right regarding boring workout machines. It’s so hard to force yourself to stand on my Hammer Crosstech XTR on a daily basis, choose one of ten programs and exercise at least twenty minutes. The only pleasure is that after exercises you are feeling good. As I see, there are so many workout programs offered by both services and need to spend some time to choose the right one or two. Motivation? Live longer and feel younger as long as possible. Thanks.

    • Hey Andre! You’re definitely right, exercise machines are very difficult for me to exercise on, and I’m sure the same goes for many others. With beachbody, like you mentioned, there are a bunch of workout videos to choose from. But once you get started, they make it easy for you to find workouts that are geared towards getting you the results you’re looking for.

  6. You definitely sound like you done your research, your page is very informative. I don’t work out like I used to and probably should but I have been looking for a good workout plan that is not too strenuous because I have arthritis. I heard the Tony Horton workout was very extensive & extreme from other people I know. I will definitely look into this workout plan and give it a try.

  7. I had not heard of Daily Burn before, and was interested at the beginning of your post. I have been looking at the Beach Body one and now see so many choices. But it is clear that Beach Body is really the best fit. I didn’t know they have over 600 videos to pick from, and a meal plan! You cannot beat it for the price. Thank you so much for sharing!

  8. I have wanted to try one of these programs myself, but haven’t taken the leap yet. I have done all of it too, joined a gym, then only went a couple times, owned exercise machines that I never used, etc.
    I will say that having meal plans in the beach body site would be a big help! I only lost weight after many attempts to exercise it off by dramatically changing my diet and sticking to it for the long term. There is no benefit in doing a month long diet and loosing a couple pounds, then gaining it all back and more when you return to your previous way of eating.
    Great page though, keep at it!

And long term success when it comes to losing weight is about committing yourself to healthy living on a daily basis. I can understand your struggle with being consistent with it all.   9. I do love working out online, but I find it hard to stay accountable.
    I’ve done a couple of the beach body programs before, but always the DVD method – not the online version. I still felt like I needed an accountability buddy.
    I never really thought of doing an online membership though, so it’s nice to read about the benefits.
    I have never heard of Daily Burn before. It seems as if they aren’t as popular – or perhaps they’re newer?
    I’ve found beach body products to be intimidating for people just starting out. Is Daily Burn a better option – perhaps less intimidating? Or do you prefer one over the other?

      I can definitely understand you being a bit intimidated when it comes to beachbody. I’m sure it’s because the trainers can be a bit intense. But I think they just want to make sure that  anyone that is taking part in the program is hyped up and ready to go. But I do know both beachbody and dailyburn have beginner workout programs for those just starting out. So I’m sure you can find something to your liking.

  10. I enjoyed reading this review. I had to chuckle a little when you mentioned the exercise equipment gathering dust, and the fitness membership that doesn’t get attended. So true. You made me want to sign up for beach body; but I’m not sure if there is an exercise program for those over 65. I’m not even sure I need a beach body at this point. I would settle for one that doesn’t hurt so much, or make me want to throw up when I look in the mirror. LOL.

    I liked the idea that they have fitness programs for fitting into your lifestyle and you could choose different ones. I also like the fact that you showed it was more popular with the trending graph.

  12. I think I’m on the team of Beachbody myself, as well. I really like the idea of visual instruction, but the kicker for me would be the meal plan. I’ve always struggled with figuring out what to eat. This meal plan idea is perfect, since I’d prefer eating advice from somebody who actually knows what they are talking about… I’d trust it more.

    • I agree Jay. Knowing what to eat is a huge struggle for a lot of people. So have the meal plan included is big plus. You really do get a lot included as a beachbody on demand subscriber. You should definitely give it a try if you’re looking for some guidance when it comes to working out.

  15. I did not know much about Daily Burn and Beach Body On Demand. Beach Body seems like a clear winner in my book! While the streaming could be an issue for many, every place that I work out at as far as facilities provide free wifi so that should solve that issue. The meal plans of Beach Body would help me improve my eating habits.

    • Hey Andrew. The streaming could provide issue for anyone with poor internet connection. But you should be able to find decent to good connection in most places. If all else fails, you can use your data plan.
