Finding the best weight loss strategies that work best for you can be a very difficult task. This is especially true if you’re someone that struggles with time, finances, and motivation. So finding strategies to help you overcome all this will be key to your overall success.

Although difficult, finding success is possible as long as you implement the right strategies daily. Strategies that can help you not with just the physical aspect of health, but also the mental part as well.

Below I’ve listed 7 effective strategies that can make getting results that much simpler. Keep in mind that effort will still be needed to get the best results, but the strategies listed below will give you ideas on how to structure yourself better when it comes to living a healthier lifestyle.

Healthy Weight Loss Is All About Calories, So Make Sure You Track Both Your Meals and Exercises

There are many reasons why someone may struggle with weight loss. Whether it be due to poor health, lack of discipline or time, finding the right formula for weight loss success can be a huge struggle.

If you’ve asked anyone how to lose weight, i’m sure you would hear eat right and exercise daily as an answer. But let’s be honest, for some reason losing weight seems more complicated than that.

See, what many fail to understand is that when it comes to losing or gaining weight, it’s all about the CALORIES! Yea I know you’ve heard that before, but the reality is, weight loss is all about simple math.

If you burn more calories than you consume, you will naturally lose weight. Regardless of what you eat, when you eat, or how you eat, if you’re eating more than the calories your body burns, you will see the number on the scale go up.

So if it’s all about the numbers, then tracking your numbers seems like the logical thing to do right? These days you can find all types of apps that allow you to track both your exercise and meals to help you manage your weight.

Weight loss programs like Weight Watchers, Noom Coach, and Mayo Clinic Diet are three programs that come to mind when I think about tracking calories. They have great tools and are aware of the importance of technology when helping someone lose weight.

Each program allows you a calorie budget each day to make sure you are aware of what you are eating on a daily basis. They have the nutritional value for each food item and also provide for you recipes to make sure you are aware of what is going into your body.

Eliminating Bad Habits and Creating Good Ones is Crucial To Long Term Success

I’m sure we can all agree that a lot of the struggles we face when it comes to getting in shape comes from poor habits. Maybe it’s not getting enough sleep each night, or consuming too many empty calories like drinking soda everyday.

Whatever the reason, eliminating those poor habits and creating new habits will be crucial to you finding long term success.

So how to do you create those good habits?

Developing good habits is done through consistency and repetition. I can remember when I made the decision to reduce sugary beverages and drink more water. This is something we as people struggle with on a daily basis.

I used to drink things like orange juice, cranberry juice, and ginger ale soda. And although there are worse things to drink, I wanted to challenge myself to make water my main and only source of fluid.

Now i’ll admit that it wasn’t easy, but what helped me achieve this was to stop buying them at the grocery store. Because of this, I was able to go from 64oz of water a day, to 128oz of water a day. For those that are unaware, that is a gallon a day.

So when it comes to finding success with your weight loss, doing the same thing on a daily basis will ensure that you find that success. Yea i know that it may sound boring, but when you start seeing results and start feeling good about yourself, it is so worth it.

Building a routine from the moment you wake up, to the moment it’s time to go to bed. If you can maintain this routine each day, then that day where you find yourself cheating a bit, won’t have you feeling so bad about yourself.

Make Sure You Stay Informed About Popular Health Topics By Reading Articles

Ever since I was in college, I can remember always having the motivation to exercise. But it wasn’t until i decided to become a certified personal trainer where I learned how the body really works.

I’ve done weight training for over 10 years, and while going through the training, I learned I was doing things all wrong. And even though I was able to get myself in good shape, that training really came in handy when I started helping others get in shape.

So if you’re someone that is looking to get results when it comes to your health, it’s important to make sure you’re keeping yourself informed. Whether you’re reading articles or working with a professional, staying informed is key to getting long term results.

This is especially important when it comes to fad diets that tend to make their way into the mainstream media. Because with many fad diets, there’s always an expiration date with them. You want to make sure your weight loss efforts are for the long term.

Seek Advice From Medical Experts That Understand What It Takes To Lose Weight In A Healthy Way

One of the biggest reasons so many people struggle with weight loss is due to the fact that they lack the knowledge. This is where the help of an expert comes in.

Whether it be a personal trainer or nutritionist, find someone who has the knowledge when it comes to weight loss can be invaluable. Of course finding this help will be dependent on if you can afford it since this help doesn’t come cheap.

But if you are able to handle it financially, it is definitely worth it to get the help. Like I mentioned earlier about getting certified, I learned things I didn’t know even though I had been weight training for years.

Also, since not every person is built the same, it’s important to get a customized plan made just for you. And with a professional, they can create a plan or program that is created to help you reach your weight loss goals.

If price really is an issue for you, there are online programs like weight watchers, Noom, and Mayo Clinic Diet. They give you that professional service at a very affordable cost, and have been known to be very effective.

Getting The Right Support Will Be Key To Making Sure You Are Held Accountable For Reaching Your Goals

I’m sure you’ve tried many times to get the results you’re looking for, but found out that losing weight can be harder than it seems. That’s why it’s important to get the right support group to help you with your weight loss.

If you’re someone that is looking to go to the gym, then having a gym buddy is a great way to make sure you’re held accountable. Knowing that you have someone that is relying on you to get into shape will always provide you with that needed motivation.

It also helps to surround yourself with like minded people that understand your struggle and may have found success with losing weight. Whether it’s an online forum, or a weight loss group, being around those who share the same goals as you will make the process easier to deal with.

Although It Is Possible To Lose Weight Without Exercise, Weight Loss Achieved at a Higher Rate When Incorporating Daily Exercise

The one thing I’ve noticed about those who try different type of weight loss programs, is many think they will lose weight just by eating healthy. Not to say that it isn’t possible, but the margin for error is very small if you don’t incorporate exercise into your daily routine.

The reason being is due to calories, like I mentioned earlier. Remember, if you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. So the best way to burn calories is to be active. Whether it’s through exercise or taking the stairs or making sure you get those steps in.

So if exercise really isn’t your thing, then it’s important to take as many steps as possible throughout the day. That means taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Or when going grocery shopping, park as far away from the store as possible to get those steps in.

Even if you go for a 30 minute walk during your lunch break, making sure your body is moving as much as possible will be key. Also, to make tracking easier, make sure to get a fit watch to help keep track of all this activity and calories burned.

Use Technology as a Way To Help You Reach Your Weight Loss Goals

If you haven’t noticed by now, technology is becoming a huge part of the fitness industry. From trackers to apps to streaming workouts, many are using technology as a way to keep themselves engaged in their health.

There are so many benefits to using technology, and if you’re interested in learning more about those benefits, I suggest you take a read of an article I wrote. I talk about the 7 Reasons You Should Be Using Technology To Lose Weight.

In this article you can add technology to your fitness routine to help you lose weight. Whether you’re using it to help you track your data, or using it as a more affordable alternative to specialists, technology can be a very effective way to reach your fitness goals.

Maybe one of the best reason for using technology is that you can take it with you anywhere. For example, many people are using streaming as a way to get in shape.

Beachbody on demand for example allows you to stream hundreds of workout programs from multiple devices. So whether you’re comfortable exercising at home or at the gym, there are many ways for you to get in shape.

Today I took the first step to what I hope will be a lasting weight loss program. I have tried others without much success. These include Nutrasystem as well as fasting.
I will believe it will be worth the effort if I lose even half the weight that I need to lose.
